EU Programmes
There are more than 20 EU Programmes that offer opportunities for UK HEIs. The Programmes are policy driven and managed, mainly through calls for proposals, by different Directorate Generals of the European Commission. For HEIs they support activities such as curriculum development and delivery; networks; community engagement; knowledge exchange; action and community based research; and staff and student exchanges. They include for instance:-
| ALFA | ICI Education Cooperation | |
| Civil Justice | Intelligent Energy Europe | |
| Criminal Justice | Lifelong Learning | |
| Culture | LIFE+ | |
| DAPHNE | MEDIA | |
| Drug Prevention & Information | MEDIA Mundus | |
| EDULINK | Prevention of & Fight Against Crime | |
| Entrepreneurship & Innovation | Progress | |
| Erasmus Mundus | Public Health | |
| Europe for Citizens | TEMPUS | |
| Fundamental Rights & Citizenship | Youth in Action | |
| ICT Policy Support |
Having worked closely with them, I know them to be exceptional individuals whose expertise, commitment and unstinting professionalism makes them ideal advisers for any individual institution which wishes to increase its understanding and share of European funding possibilities. Strongly recommended!
